What kind of Grants are available?

The 2006 American HealthCare Foundation Grant Program will focus on Nutraceuticals. Further information regarding the program can be found here

Who is eligable for 2006 Grants?

  • Family Physicians
  • Oncologists
  • Cardiologists

You must have an active practice in the United States or Canada.

Who is NOT eligable for 2006 Grants?

  • Any recipient of a previous Grant in the past 36 months.
  • Any medical professional that is NOT on the eligability list above.

How are Grant recipients chosen?

A lottery is run by the AHF Medical Board on the 15th day (or next business day) of each calendar month. Applicant names are submitted by completing the application process on this web site. If you apply before the 15th of any calendar month, your name will be included in that months lottery.

The Board places the names in the order they were drawn. The first recipient on the resulting list is verified by the board as to eligability and desire to adhere to the Research requirements. The Board continues down the list allocating awards until the fund allocation is exhausted.

If there are more funds available than the number of applicants, excess Research Funds go back into the research pool of funds for future allocation.

The number of winning applicants is proportional to the amount of funds available and the number of applicants, thus your chances of winning cannot be determined in advance.
