Diabetes Grant

Introduction

The American Healthcare Foundation’s research grant program offers support for a selected number of physicians.

Through the program the Foundation will obtain vital results from the field of Nutraceuticals.

Aim

To determine the efficacy of Nutraceuticals in creating a raise and sustained Glutathione level in Diabetes patients.

Grants available

The value of each grant is set at a maximum USD $10,000. The number and value of the grants is subject to variation.

Grant Awards

The grant applications will be evaluated by the Grant Committee. The Committee consists of four American Healthcare Foundation staff from the Medical Review Board.

The Committee will decide which physicians to support and the value of each grant. The Committee's decision will be final.

Eligable Physicians

The applicants for Diabetes Grant shall be General Practitioners in an active practice and must be licenced and have medical offices in either the United States or Canada.

Specific Research Areas

  • Each successful Grant applicant shall receive a 3 – 12 month supply of a natural Glutathione (GSH) raising supplement that is to be freely given to specific patients having long term chronic Diabetes.
  • The patient(s) must agree to undergo monthly examinations by the physician so that the results of the program can be determined.
  • The ideal patient would be one that has no other outside influence or foreseen medical condition changes during the testing period. Results are deemed invalidated if the patient were to begin to take other simultaneous treatment.
  • Throughout the testing period the physician must make notes and have one-on-one visits with the patient to determine the progress and outcome.
  • Each physician complete the American Healthcare Foundation research forms, with the results no later than 30 days after the completion of the research period. Specific and measurable observations are the goal of the research.
  • The physician agrees that the report forms may be made public. The name of the patient and/or any personally identifiable information shall be removed from any reports for this purpose.

Time Framework

  • Grant applicants must apply before 15th of each month.
  • Selection of patients and testing is to begin on or near the 15th of the following month.
  • The average test ends 3 months after each patient begins the program.
  • The final report must state the patients starting condition, observations throughout the program, and a final statement and summary.

Applications after the 15th submission deadline will be submitted to the Committee on the 15th of the following month.
